The Division of Medical Communications was created within the Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital as an intellectual home for physicians who desire to learn and teach the wide variety of skills needed for effective communications. The website highlights training sessions in Motivational Interviewing and Learning How to Ask a Wide Variety of Questions to Engage Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists and Patients on Morning Walk Rounds.

Neurosurgery Grand Rounds
The Brigham Neurosurgery Grand Rounds are designed to provide a forum for achieving optimal patient care through presentation, discussion, and analysis of complex neurosurgical issues. Guest speakers with different perspectives, surgical philosophies, and expertise are invited to maximize exposure to the breadth of evolving neurosurgical approaches.
Newborn Medicine Grand Rounds
Launched in 2014 and currently led by Drs. Sen and Van Marter, the Department of Pediatric Newborn Medicine Grand Rounds features outstanding local, national, and international speakers and has been well received by a multispecialty and multidisciplinary audience.

Outreach Program with Indian Health Service
This is the centralized volunteer opportunity allowing faculty to collaborate with Indian Health Service colleagues in need of specialty training and education. These recorded CME sessions are live and interactive linking Brigham Health faculty to multiple IHS sites simultaneously. Weekly conference topics cover all specialties and are selected by the IHS and include both didactic and case review format.

Patient-centered Comparative Effectiveness Research Center (PCERC)
The Patient-Centered Outcomes seminar series sponsored by the BWH Brigham Research Institute (BRI) Patient-Centered Comparative Effectiveness Research Center (PCERC) brings together patient-centered outcomes (PCOR) and comparative effectiveness researchers (CER) across BWH for the purposes of discussing research findings, methods, and policy related to CER and PCOR.

Renal Grand Rounds
The Renal Grand Rounds is a weekly educational activity between BWH and MGH. Led by Dr. Leo Riella, Dr. Andrew Lundquist and Dr. Gearoid McMahon, it consists of challenging case presentations by fellows with faculty discussion as well as lectures by invited local, national, and internationally-renowned nephrologists.

Sleep Grand Rounds
Sleep Grand Rounds is a monthly research seminar program that has been conducted each academic year since September 1996, incorporating faculty presentations on basic and clinical sleep research. Research scientists from Boston, Providence and Worcester area academic institutions as well as numerous visiting scientists have presented, and typical attendance ranges from 30 to 80 scientists and clinicians.
